In the women’s gymnastics team final, Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, and Jade Carey will attempt to prolong their “redemption tour.” Coco Gauff will play Donna Vekic in the third round of women’s singles before forming a mixed doubles pairing with Taylor Fritz. The women’s 1500-meter freestyle heats include Katie Ledecky. The men’s soccer squad from the Olympics also has another group match.
At Roland Garros, you may see Gauff and Fritz in action, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz in action for the second time in men’s doubles, and Andy Murray, who is having another go at postponing his retirement, playing doubles.

Here are the lineups for the U.S. ladies
The United States women’s gymnastics team, led by Simone Biles, will start their pursuit of team gold and their “redemption” at 12:15 p.m. ET. Tomorrow, Tuesday. In all four events, Biles will be joined by her training partner Jordan Chiles from the Spring, Texas gym owned by Biles’s parents, World Champions Centre. While Jade Carey, who was sick last week, will compete solely on vault, reigning Olympic all-around champion Suni Lee will compete on bars, beam, and floor.
Prior to the public revelation of Biles’ left calf injury last week, team strategy lead Chellsie Memmel and coach Cecile Landi stated that Biles had the option to participate in fewer events during the team final if she felt the need for a mental or physical break. She choose to compete in the all-around event at the global championships in October, when she was given the same choice. Hopefully, the seven-time Olympic winner is in good mental and physical health because she has decided to do the same here.
First up for the United States is vault, where the world’s most difficult vault, the Yurchenko double pike, called “Biles” in the international scoring system, will be performed by Biles after Chiles takes the lead. Only Biles, a woman, possesses this ability. Lee will then serve as the lineup’s anchor on uneven bars before the Americans go on to balance beam, where Biles and Lee tied for second place in qualification. The competition will conclude on the floor, where Biles, who won the event at the 2016 Olympics, will officiate. My name is Alyssa Roenigk.
Shine brightly, U.S. squad!
Even before the action starts, the United States women’s gymnastics team is stunning in Paris. Glistening leos covered with six hues of Swarovski crystals, velvet details, and star-shaped cuts helped the gymnasts qualify first in their team on Sunday. With competition couture and A-list celebs seating front and center, women’s gymnastics at Bercy Arena has taken on an almost fashion show vibe.
What shall the United States national team do next?
The team’s “Go for Glory” leos, which were created by the leading gymnastics apparel brand GK Elite, are a tribute to the legendary leos worn by the Magnificent Seven, the first American women’s gymnastics team to win an Olympic gold medal in 1996. The leos, which are red, white, and blue in color, feature approximately 10,000 ruby and diamond-shaped crystals (each!).
“You all are not ready,” remarked Jordan Chiles, a two-time Olympian, following his first encounter with the leos at the U.S. trials in Minneapolis last month. Fortunately, Team USA is prepared. — Madeline Roenigk.
The United States men’s gymnastics team and their families are celebrating a momentous occasion.
Bronze in the men’s gymnastics event at Monday’s Paris Games (257.793) was the first medal for the United States since the 2008 Beijing Games, after months of preparation and sacrifice. Asher Hong, Paul Juda, Brody Malone, Stephen Nedoroscik, and Frederick Richard were joined by their families and important others in celebrating the momentous occasion after collecting their medals.
Table tennis mixed pairs champions China claim victory
A second Olympic champion has been decided for the mixed doubles event in table tennis in its second year of competition.
On Tuesday, Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha of China won gold, three years after the country’s silver medal performance in the postponed 2020 Games. The North Korean team of Ri Jong Sik and Kim Kum Yong were defeated 4-2. The silver medal went to Wang and Sun. Lim Jonghoon and Shin Yubin of South Korea were awarded bronze medals.
After losing, Coco Gauff exited in tears
United States-based Among the most surprising results of the tournament so far, Donna Vekic upset Coco Gauff in the third round of the women’s tennis singles on Tuesday morning. Croat Vekic, seeded thirteenth in the Olympic singles draw, came into the match ranked twenty-one in the world. Gauff was the second seed for the Olympic competition and currently ranks second in the world according to the WTA.
Vekic will play the victor of the current third-round match between the Greek Maria Sakkari and the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.
The Olympic boxing competition is dominated by Oleksandr Usyk
In the event that there are no modifications made to the organizational structure of amateur boxing, the International Olympic Committee has stated that the sport may be eliminated from the Olympic Games in 2028. Following a disagreement between the International Olympic Committee and the regulatory body of amateur boxing, the sport of boxing was almost removed from the calendar for the Paris Games. Oleksandr Usyk referred to the sport as “rotten.”
